LONDON, 8 December 2023: Quotech, the underwriter-led, Convex-backed insurTech that creates practical systems for specialty underwriters and  brokers, has made two key appointments.

Dmytro ‘Dima’ Droban joins Quotech as Head of Business Development. The Londoner from Ukraine spent most of his 20+ year career as a marine underwriter, but comes to Quotech after leaving his underwriter’s desk three years ago to establish an insurTech in Vietnam.

“I am a problem-solver first and foremost,” Dima says. “I have gained truly insightful perspectives by working in multiple, extremely contrasting countries, environments, and insurance companies. I have learned that despite the differences, the way to get to a resolution is the same everywhere. It comes from the concerted effort of a powerful team to concentrate intensely on a problem. As an underwriter, I look forward to bringing it all together to help other underwriters become more efficient and profitable by using Quotech’s tools.” 

Daniel Loader is Quotech’s new Lead Platform Engineer. He’s spent nearly a decade building systems in diverse sectors stretching from groceries to cyber security, and working for household names like Iceland and Nominet. Dan is focussed on developing insurance applications which minimise users’ manual toil by making the workflow intuitive and the functionality smooth.
